About 50 CentCurtis Jackson III rose to the heart of rap culture off the back of his controversially titled 2003 album 'Get Rich Or Die Trying', which was followed by the equally successful 'The Massacre'. The uber-rich star has become noted for his stylized feuds, in which he picks fights with numerous other rappers, a gimmick that more recently has been outed as a publicity stunt. An autobiographical film entitled 'Get Rich or Die Trying', released in 2005, saw 50's fame reach a new height, while tracks like Candy Shop, In Da Club and 21 Questions have helped maintain his musical impact. Always a contentious figure, 50's lyrics have been associated with homophobia, mindless violence and racism in the past, while he's also picked up felony convictions. 50 Cent also continues to perform as part of the rap group G Unit.
