About B RealBest known as a member of notorious rap group Cypress Hill, B Real - real name Louis Freeze - led a difficult early life in California, dealing drugs until he was shot in the lung in 1988. Having survived the experience, he straightened up, using his past experiences as key material in Cypress Hill's writing process. His most recognized contribution to the band is his eccentric, high-pitched vocals. Cypress Hill remains the best selling Latin rap group of all time. B Real's first solo effort, Smoke N Mirrors, was released in 2009 to limited chart success, while he has also recently worked with Snoop Dogg, performed as part of rap metal group 'Kush', and worked on the soundtrack for the movie Space Jam. B Real is also a producer, and has worked with a number of well-known artists including D12, though he never produced for Cypress Hill.
