About ElisaAn Italian singer from Trieste, Elisa is one of few Italian artists to perform almost exclusively in English. Having sold several million copies of her five albums to date (all of which peaked in the top ten of the Italian charts), Elisa is best known outside of Italy for the song Dancing, which gained plenty of TV attention back in 2006 and 2007, while the single Come Speak To Me gained her a more widespread audience in Europe. It took three albums for Elisa to receive any international attention of note, helped by a performance at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. She recently featured in the Italian leg of Live 8, and will soon become a mother. The latest album, entitled 'Heart', is expected in late 2009, while her last compilation offering sold nearly one million copies, and featured a few Italian songs.
