About Fatman ScoopKnown for a combination of hip hop promotion, radio personality, the occasional piece of music he wrote himself and an insanely loud voice, Fatman Scoop is a key part of the modern day hip hop scene. His 2003 UK number one Be Faithful was a big hit amongst DJs well before he got legal permission for all his samples and launched it as a single. More recently the Fatman's been producing podcasts and TV shows about sex and relationships. He's currently suing a North Carolina sheriff for shutting down a gig (due to lost earnings), and won a Grammy Award in 2005 for the video to Lose Control, and award he shares with Missy Elliot and Ciara. He was also nominated for best rap song for the same track. Fatman Scoop's name was given by Lauryn Hill, during the recording of the video to The Fugees Killing Me Softly, in which he played a cinema food scooper.
