About GarbageAmerican rockers fronted by the charismatic Scot Shirley Manson, Garbage have sold over 14-million albums worldwide to date, and scored huge smash hits with tracks like Stupid Girl, James Bond theme The World Is Not Enough and Cherry Lips. Named following an early comment that the band sounded 'like garbage', the four-piece have nevertheless built a substantial underground following, and are still performing 15 years after their formation, despite a brief hiatus in the middle 00s. A huge seven Grammy Award nominations have not resulted in a single win, though the band's impressive status in the rock world has lead to appearances in movies, video game soundtracks and compilations. 2007s cleverly named best of album Absolute Garbage is a striking measure of the band's impressive output. Following the charity only release of single Witness To Your Love in 2008, Manson joined the cast of TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
