About Gloria GaynorHaving marked her place in musical history in indelible ink with disco girl-anthem I Will Survive, Gloria Gaynor continues to tour at the age of 60. She started out in jazz pop band 'Soul Satisfiers', but was soon releasing solo material that included hits like Never Can Say Goodbye. Her mainstream success during the 70s and early 80s disco era was phenomenal, but slowly dropped off through the 80s and early 90s before coming back into the heats and minds of mainstream culture. Having previously been a Scientologist, Gaynor is now a devout Christian, and dedicates plenty of time to charity work. She regards her earlier life as sinful. In 2002 Gloria released a new album entitled 'I Wish You Love', to limited commercial success. She's also taken on a small amount of acting work, including appearances in cult law drama Ally McBeal.
