About H.I.M.Finnish alternative rockers HIM call Helsinki home, and have released six full-length albums so far. The band were originally known as His Infernal Majesty, but later changed the name due to the old name's Satanist connotations. An early LP in the original name is now a collector's item valued at hundreds of pounds. The band's symbol is the 'heartagram' a combination of the heart symbol and the pentagram, which represents a combination of love and hate, and has become an icon of the genre. The most successful album to date is 2005's Dark Light, though four of the band's six efforts have reached number one in Finland, as well as substantial European chart accomplishments. 1999 Single Join Me In Death was number one in numerous countries across the continent, while 2005s Wings Of A Butterfly also made a notable chart impact. A new album is expected in 2010.
