About HIMA Finnish metal band known as much for their iconic heart/ pentagram symbol as their music, HIM are also unusual within the alternative rock genre as hey have a female lead singer. Originally called 'His Infernal Majesty' (a name they later dropped due its Satanic connotations), they also released albums under the title HER (in the US, due to copyright issues) and HIM and HER, before buying the rights to the name in the US and sticking solely to HIM. 2005's fifth album 'Dark Light' saw HIM make a major breakthrough in the US, peaking in the top 20, and spawning two major singles, Wings Of A Butterfly and Killing Loneliness, making them the most successful Finnish band ever on US soil. A seventh studio album, entitled 'Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice' is due out in 2010.
