About HoleMost noted for their impressive 1990s album 'Live Through This', as well as lead singer Courtney Love's close affiliations with Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, Hole are a progressive modern rock band who incorporated numerous rock influences into their sound, performing in a grunge, rock and punk sound at various times. With at least 13 different members contributing to the band over the years, Hole only made three albums, but found substantial success with chart singles like Doll Part, Celebrity Skin and Violet, and were nominated for five Grammy Awards in 1999/2000. Hole officially disbanded in 2002, and their attempts to get back together over the years have encountered numerous difficulties. In June 2009 NME ran a premature special two part feature on Hole's reformation; contractual agreements are likely to prevent any reunion tour taking place without the agreement of all the major former members.
