About Kaiser ChiefsLeeds five-piece Kaiser Chiefs shot to fame off the back of best-selling debut album Employment, which featured smash hits I Predict a Riot and Oh My God. Follow up Yours Truly, Angry Mob was still more successful, topping its predecessor by one place in topping the UK album charts, and spawning number one single Ruby. The group met in school, and were originally named Parva (a name under which they released one previous album), and emphasised the success of a Yorkshire scene that at the same time was home to bands like Arctic Monkeys and The Futureheads. Latest album Off With Their Heads led to a second-headline slot at Reading and hometown Leeds Festivals. DVD Enjoyment features comedy sketches in which the band members are interviewed pretending to be 'jaded rock stars'. The band is named after the South African football club Kaizer Chiefs, where local team Leeds United's former captain Lucas Radebe once played.
