About Las KetchupMade up of four Andalucían sisters, Las Ketchup play flamenco influenced pop with a strong latino flare. Best known for The Kethcup Song (released as Asereje in Spain), a Europop dance floor filler that charted high all over Europe, the band managed to sell over 12 million copies of the debut album that contained it, and even gained a nomination for a latin Grammy Award. They've never reached anything like the same level of international success since. Las Ketchup also featured in the 2006 Eurovision song contest, finishing in 21st place with the song Bloody Mary, far below what was widely expected. The second album 'Un Blodymary' was released around the same time, but reached only number 250 in Spanish charts while their previous effort had been a lengthy number one.
