About Mando DiaoMando Diao - whose name came to vocalist Bjorn Dixgard in a dream - are a Swedish indie rock band with an extensive following in Germany and Japan. Known for their sharp-suited dress code and brittle, tuneful take on popular rock music. The song God Knows gained international attention through appearing as a backing track on the videogame Fifa 2006, while several tracks from 2004 album Hurricane Bar had a minor impact on the UK charts. 2009 single Dance With Somebody - a summery piece of melodic pop rock - was less successful in the UK, but gained lofty chart positions in various parts of Europe, including a number one in Austria and number two in Germany. With five albums behind them to date, Mando Diao are a fashionable name being thrown around the indie underground, and an increasingly common presence on the European festival circuit.
