About MegadethAfter their early years were blighted with drug abuse problems and numerous line up changes, L.A. metalers Megadeth went on to become one of the iconic bands in the loud, leery genre of thrash metal. To date the band has released 11 studio albums, the most commercially successful of which was 1994's Youthanasia. 1997 single Trust - a thrashy insight into relationships in which both parties lie - gained a Grammy nomination. Singer Dave Mustaine is a former member of Metallica, and was kicked out of the band under controversial circumstances in the early 80s. Mustaine still disputes his lack of inclusion on certain Metallica song credits. In 2002, the band unwittingly expressed support of the IRA at a Northern Irish gig, leading to riots in the audience. More recently, the controversial singer, known for making sensationalist remarks in the press, has become a born again Christian.
