Held up as an icon both before and after his death in an L.A drive by shooting in 1997, BIG is now the subject of a major feature film, and is ranked number 3 on MTV's list if the greatest MCs of all time. Named BIG due to his hefty size at less than ten years of age, the rapper famously married Faith Evans only nine days after they met in 1994, and success followed swiftly afterwards, with a four times platinum debut album and the hit singles Big Poppa and Evans collaboration One More Chance. With his involvement in the death of rap rival Tupac Shakur still disputed to this day, no shooter was ever convicted of BIG's murder, either.
