About OakenfoldTrance DJ Paul Oakenfold describes his early career's efforts as those of a 'bedroom DJ', and at the time was also on the road to becoming a chef. He later became and iconic DJ with heavy ties to the party scene on the Spanish island of Ibiza, producing a string of chart-bothering hits that include Reach Up, Not Over Yet, Big Brother UK Theme and Starry Eyed Surprise, under various pseudonyms that have included 'Grace', 'Perfecto Allstars' and 'Element 4'. Featuring heavily in advertising, Oakenfold's remixes are in heavy demand, and have included anything from old school rock and roll to rap. He's incorporated big name artists like Ice Cube, Nelly Furtado and Crazy Town onto his various albums. The album Bunkka, released in 2002, sold in excess of one million copies worldwide, and is known for its unconventional blend of dance styles.
