About Rage Against The MachineAn immensely popular rock band from Los Angeles, California, Rage Against the Machine were formed in 1991, fronted by the charismatic Zack de la Rocha. Uncommonly for a rock band, Rage lasted all of its nine years of life without a single change in the bands line-up until 2000, when the band broke up shortly before the release of their fourth and last studio album, 'Renegades'. All the band members but the singer formed the now defunct Audioslave while de la Rocha focused on a solo career. Rage Against the Machine are known for their politically charged music which often is at odds with America, especially in terms of its foreign policy. The band has been known to participate in various political protests. For many though, the joy of rage is in their aggressive lyrics and powerful rock/rap melodies, which are as catchy as they are loud.
