About Rolling StonesOne of the most famous bands in the history of music, the Rolling Stones formed in London in 1962. The Stones have recorded a massive 22 studio albums (24 in America) and have sold over 200 million albums across the world. The band was listed by Rolling Stone Magazine as the 4th greatest artists of all time. Describing the music of the Rolling Stone is difficult - they've been recording music for over 40 years and their style has changed considerably in that time. A few sounds have stuck with the Stones however, such as their folk-country roots and their many tracks influenced by various American blues music. The band toured the world in 2007 playing sell out shows in Austin, Shanghai and Rio De Janiro amongst others, before finally ending the tour in London. Frontman Keith Richards hinted in 2008 that the Stones may consider recording another full length album sometime in the future.
