She remains the only artist to have recorded more than a single track from the film series. Bassey has had an internationally successful musical career and is famed for her incredibly soulful and powerful vocals.A career in music spanning over 50 years, Bassey high point was arguably her Britannia Award for the Best Female Solo Singer of the Last 50 Years, which she was awarded in 1977. She then hosted a popular BBC show but began to fade from the public eye during the eighties. She has recently become more visible and toured the world several times in the nineties. In 2007, Bassey signed a record contract although no albums have been released by the singer under the label as of yet.
