About Straylight RunAn indie rock band from Long Island in New York, Straylight run have been together since 2003. The band is comprised of Will Noon, John Nolan and Shaun Cooper, the latter two were members of the Emo band Taking Back Sunday who left not long after the band's debut album, 'Tell All Your Friends' to form Straylight Run. Unlike taking back Sunday however, Straylight Run has a much less aggressive sound and provides more acoustic and piano driven melodies.The band wrote a few songs for their website and with help from the popularity of the bands members quickly gained momentum, signing to Victory and releasing their first full length album, 'Straylight Run' in 2004, including the single 'Existentialism on Prom Night', which featured regular on alternative radio stations.The band have since released an EP and another full length album titled 'The Needles the Space' in 2007. The band is planning to continue recording and as hinted at producing another EP in the near future.
