About Tenacious DTenacious D is a rock, metal and comedy group consisting of famous comedy actors Jack Black and Kyle Gass. The band has starred in their own TV show on American channel HBO and also in the movie 'Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny'. After the film was released, the duo went on a World Tour and released an album. Despite their success not coming until 1999, the band actually began to perform years earlier in 1994.They've released two full length studio albums 'Tenacious D' in 2001 and 'The Pick of Destiny' 2006. Their first went platinum mostly due to the success of singles 'Tribute' and 'Wonderboy' and the famous status of the actors themselves which lead to a large amount of coverage in magazines across the US and the UK.Tenacious D have made various mention of a third album although dates have ranged from 2010 to 2012 for release.
