About Walls Of JerichoA Detroit metal band formed from the ashes of the notorious 'Earthmover' and another local band called 'Universal Stomp', Walls of Jericho have performed with numerous legends of the metal genre, including 'In Flames', 'Sick Of It All' and 'Hatebreed'. Forming in 1998 and splitting for two years in 2001, the band have nevertheless managed four studio albums as well as a collection of EPs, one of which featured Slipknot's Corey Taylor. This EP, 'Redemption', was a significant departure from their previous metal stylings, being an entirely acoustic effort. It proved to be a one off, and was followed by a return to their previous thrashy stylings in latest album 'The American Dream'. Unusually for a metal band, Walls Of Jericho are female-fronted, though this in no way reduces their ability to pummel their way through their heavy, vivacious tracks.
